Heiner Kleinekathöfer joined Bertelsmann AG in 1977 and after his apprenticeship commenced in the coordinating and management unit of United Publishing Distributors (VVA). In 1988 he was appointed manager of the incoming goods department and two years later expanded his responsibilities by coordinating the BMG dispatch. In 1993 he was appointed head of BMG distribution services.
In 1998 he was entrusted with responsibility for the Entertainment Services manufacturing facility in Gütersloh.
In 2003 he became Vice President arvato Logistics Services and as such is responsible for the Entertainment Service Deutschland and International product line. In this function he manages the systematic expansion of the customer base as well as logistics and fulfilment services in the audio, video and games (interactive) areas.
In 2010 he was appointed Vice President Supply Chain Solutions of arvato Entertainment. In 2011 he expanded his field of competence when he was appointed manager of the new playtainment department, a position which also involves responsibility for the further expansion of this business unit.
